Garden ponds can be excellent wildlife habitats, and at Trudder Lodge we have a number of resident Ducks at the pond. In the heart of the garden, the pond is a beautiful feature and in Summer is adorned with Water Lillies. A small boat is available for cruising idly and relaxing on a lazy afternoon.
The pond was added in Victorian times, and was purpose built as a feature. It has a little island in the centre, where the Ducks nest, and there is a lovely natural walkway around it, littered with wooden benches for guest to enjoy the tranquillity of the garden.
